Six Caught in Avalanche

One woman was injured after a party of six was caught in an avalanche in Cardiff Fork.

The Utah Avalanche Center said the six people were caught and carried 100 yards by the avalanche near Big Cottonwood Canyon Sunday morning.

A woman was buried up to her shoulders, and a man was buried up to his neck.

The woman suffered a knee injury.
