Marijuana dispensary opens on the Utah-Nevada border

A recreational marijuana dispensary on the Utah-Nevada border is finally opening its doors to the public.

Deep Roots Harvest dispensary will open in West Wendover today after getting final approval from the Nevada Department of Taxation.

The dispensary is about 90 minutes west of Salt Lake City on Interstate 80.

That makes it the closest dispensary available to Utahns who are still waiting for the state to begin its own system for dispensing medical cannabis.

That program is scheduled to start in the spring.
