The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is growing again.

Church President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct eight new temples during Saturday night's session of the 189th Semiannual General Conference in Salt Lake City.

U.S. temples will be built in McAllen, Texas; Bentonville, Arkansas; and Orem and Taylorsville, Utah.

The remaining temples will be built in Sierra Leone, New Guinea, the Philippines and Guatemala.

Timelines for constructing the new temples were not announced.
