A person who disrupted General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ back in 2018 has been fined.

The judge overseeing the trial of Crystal Legionaires expressed some sympathy but still convicted the 25-year-old Monday on a charge of disrupting a meeting.

Legionaires was ordered to pay a 340-dollar fine by the judge.

Legionaires admitted to shouting "stop protecting sexual predators" three times before being escorted out.

Legionaires insisted on going to trial to raise awareness about the issue.

Outside of court, Legionaires said the protest was made on behalf of victims who have no one to turn to when they are abused by other members of the LDS church.
