Church has canceled meetings and closed temples in several countries

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has canceled meetings in several counties, and closed four temples due to concerns over the coronavirus.

LDS officials say all church gatherings have been canceled throughout Japan and Hong Kong, and in parts of Singapore and South Korea.

The Church's temples in Fukuoka and Sapporo, Japan, Taiwan and Seoul, South Korea are also closed while others in affected regions were already shut down for renovations.

The Church has already halted missionary work in nine countries in Asia.
