Ten year old boy hit by stray bullet

A 10-year-old boy is recovering after being hit by a stray bullet while riding in a car on Highway 89.

It happened Saturday afternoon near Mt. Pleasant.

The Sanpete County Sheriff's Office says a group of target shooters was shooting toward the highway, and hit the boy in the shoulder.

Doctors were able to remove the bullet and say he should make a full recovery.

Deputies are talking to multiple suspects, but so far nobody has been arrested.
