Suspect Assaults Pregnant Teen to Force Miscarriage

ST. GEORGE -  A St. George man is arrested for domestic violence after police say he admitted to punching a pregnant teen in the stomach.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Trevor Knudson on Sunday after police say a teen girl called to report an assault. Records show Knudson punched and kneed the pregnant girl twice in the stomach before grabbing the back of her neck and slamming her against a wall.

According to records, Knudson knew the teen was pregnant. She told police he assaulted her so she can have a miscarriage. Police say after advising Knudson of his Miranda rights, he admitted that the incident did take place.

He now faces a third-degree felony charge for aggravated assault.
