Senator Mike Lee attacks Netflix over film

Utah Senator Mike Lee is attacking Netflix and demanding an answer from the CEO for their controversial French film called "Cuties.

" Lee says it would be helpful if the CEO provides an explanation of their views as to whether or not the potential exploitation of minors in the film constitutes criminal behavior.

The senator then gave Reed Hastings until September 18th to respond as his office is considering referring the film to the U.S. Attorney General's Office for an investigation.

Despite much of the controversy and a petition for the film to be removed, Netflix defended it saying it is a social commentary against the sexualization of young children.
