Man killed in officer involved shooting

The Unified Police Department is identifying a man killed by a police officer in a shooting in Millcreek.

UPD spokeswoman Sergeant Melody Gray said officers responded to a home on Evergreen Avenue yesterday after a report of a man with gun.

Investigators say Marc Dominic Neal was involved in a domestic dispute with his mother when she called police yesterday.

Officers arrived to find Neal in the yard of the home with a gun, and investigators say Neal refused requests to put the weapon down before he was shot.

Six Unified Police Department officers are on paid leave while the shooting is investigated.
