Five year old boy struck by hit and run driver

A five-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being struck by a hit and run driver in Kearns.

Unified Police spokesperson Sergeant Melody Gray says the boy got out into the road around 7:20 last night and was hit by the truck as it turned from Park Wood Drive onto Longmore Drive.

The boy was said to be in extremely critical condition at Primary Children's Hospital last night.
