Skier critical after hitting tree

A skier is in critical condition after hitting a tree on Spanish Fork Peak.

The Utah County Sheriff's office said last night that they received a report about the skier around 5:25 p.m.

The 40-year-old was unable to move after suffering severe head trauma.

A helicopter transported the skier to a nearby hospital for treatment.
