Woman Arrested For Breastfeeding While Doing Heroin

A woman remains behind bars in Saint George for reportedly using heroin while breastfeeding an infant.  Police arrested Elizabeth Canon on two felony charges after her baby was hospitalized last week when it stopped breathing.  Canon reportedly took the drug and breastfed her baby multiple times over the course of about eight hours.  The less than two-week-old baby boy was in the intensive care unit at an area hospital at last check.
