Wildfire closes Minersville Highway for a short time

A brush fire Sunday afternoon temporarily closed the Minersville Highway.

The fire is burning in Iron and Beaver Counties and is currently being estimated at 50 plus acres.

As of 6pm last night all roads have been reopened.

The fire is human-caused. 6 engines, 1 water tender and 2 dozers are suppressing the fire.
