Students with special needs were given self-propelled toy cars designed to help with muscle control challenges thanks to an auto dealer in St. George.

Together Stephen Wade Toyota and Toyota corporate gave Washington County School district $20,000 to purchase the special cars for 58 students, which provides two pumper cars for each elementary school.

"The Pumper Car® is a medical device disguised as a toy. Its unique pump action creates a healthful, vigorous activity that activates muscle groups in the upper and lower body simultaneously while creating a smooth, highly engaging and fun ride," the company's website states.

School officials thanked Mr. Wade and his team for their generosity.

"We are so excited to help our local students and teachers by providing these Pumper Cars which will assist in strengthening and increasing student's mobility," said Jamie Bahlmann, Marketing Manager for Stephen Wade Toyota.
