The scientists that monitor Utah's water supply are worried that a dry spring could cause problems for the state this summer.

Supervisor Jordan Clayton of the Utah Snow Survey says the warm and dry spring kept the amount of snow in the mountains from growing larger.

Clayton and other hydrologists recommend Utahns voluntarily limit their water usage during the summer to help preserve the water in Utah's lakes and reservoirs.

They say homeowners should limit the amount of water they use on their lawns to help with conservation efforts.
