The state will be giving hundreds of intellectually disabled Utahns options for where they want to live.

Utah has settled a lawsuit brought by the Disability Law Center that accused the state Department of Health of isolating and discriminating against those disabled Utahn's by putting them in institutions.

The settlement means the state will pay the cost if any of those individuals want to transition into homes or community-based programs.

The settlement covers about 300 intellectually disabled Utahn's.
