Utah is planning a big party to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad. Governor Herbert announced yesterday that Union Pacific is contributing one-million-dollars to help fund the celebration planned for next year. Organizers plan to bring back the original golden spike used during the ceremony joining the two railroads on May 10th, 1869. They also plan to bring the world's largest steam engine to Utah to display during the event.
