Utah Highway Patrol is issuing a reminder to drivers involved in a minor crash: get out of traffic. On Wednesday, UHP troopers said the most important thing people can do to protect themselves, other drivers and first responders is to move minor crashes off the roadway. Utahns are being asked to exit the highway, turn right, and find a parking lot to move your vehicle to. Each year, Utah's first responders are hurt or injured responding to crashes that could and should have been moved out of traffic. Troopers spoke out Wednesday to educate drivers and in hopes of preventing any unnecessary risks.
