A Utah gun rights advocate is suing the federal government over a rule that bans the sale and ownership of bump stocks.  Clark Aposhian of the Utah Shooting Sports Council filed suit against the Trump administration yesterday in U.S. District Court.  Aposhian says the new ATF rule would make ownership of a bump stock a crime, even if they were acquired legally before the ban went into effect.  The bump stock ban was adopted after a mass shooting during a Las Vegas music festival left more than 50 people dead.  The gunman in that shooting had modified his rifles using bump stocks, allowing them to fire very rapidly into the crowd.
