A Utah construction company is being ordered to give 100-thousand-dollars to employees because it violated the U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act.

The U.S. District Court for Utah has ordered the owners of Metal Rock Construction to give 86 employees back wages and damages following an investigation by the Department of Labor.

The company was found to have paid a flat rate for jobs, even if they exceeded 40 hours a week and would have required overtime.

The company also failed to keep accurate time and payroll records, which are required by the law.
