The University of Utah says it has made significant changes to address missteps that contributed to the murder of Lauren McCluskey.

University officials went through 30 recommendations from an independent review conducted after the student-athlete's October murder.

The university says campus police officers have increased training to recognize signs of domestic and dating violence, and will soon hire a victim advocate.

The U. is also planning to hire a resident outreach coordinator who will work one-on-one with students dealing with potentially dangerous situations.
