The superintendent of the Utah Highway Patrol says state troopers are prepared to deal with the legalization of medical marijuana.  Colonel Michael Rapich said yesterday that the UHP will uphold the rights of medical marijuana users as long as those patients are following the law.  That includes having a valid medical approval to use the drug and keeping any amounts being transported at or below the legal limit.  Rapich also says it is still illegal to drive under the influence of marijuana and that having medical clearance to use the drug can't be used as a defense in court.
