Santa Clara city council candidate forum on October 24th

The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce and Dixie State University Institute of Politics will team to sponsor the general election candidates for the Santa Clara City Council in a forum on Thursday, October 24 at 6 p.m. at Santa Clara City Hall.

Candidates who will be on the General Election Ballot on November include Gary Allred, Ryan Anderson, Logan Blake, Denny Drake, Leina Mathis, and Jarett Waite.

Wednesday’s forum will be moderated by St. George News personality, Holly Reina. Candidates will receive several prepared questions, and if time allows there will be a question or two accepted from those in attendance.

“We appreciate the efforts of all of those who are running for office and hope you will come learn about each of the candidates,” said Pam Palermo, Chamber President. “Running a campaign takes a lot of work and we want to thank these good people for their desire to serve.”

The chamber has hosted similar forums in St. George and Washington. Ivins sponsored their own forum.
