Roy City Police Chief expressing safety concerns after fatal plane crash
Roy City Police Chief Carl Merino is expressing safety concerns for residents after a small plane crash Wednesday night that left one man dead.
In a letter, Chief Merino cites five crashes since 2016 involving private planes that were either taking off from or landing at Ogden-Hinckley Airport.
Merino then says he believes there is a safety problem, though does not elaborate on what that might be.
Sixty-four-year-old David Goode was killed last night when his plane crashed while trying to land.
