Republican Senate candidate Mitt Romney is calling for a complete overhaul to the country's wildfire strategy as several wildfires continue to burn in the Western U.S. In an essay posted on his campaign website, Romney calls for more controlled burns and logging to remove dead tree and vegetation. The former presidential candidate also implies that inaction from the Federal Government in addressing wildfire risks is in part to blame for the current situation.
