Washington County is under a red flag warning.

The National Weather Service issued the warning that started overnight at 3 a.m. and will last until 6 p.m. today.

Gusts of winds up to 40-miles-per-hour and low humidity are expected, which are critical fire weather conditions as any fires that start could spread rapidly.

Extra precautions are encouraged for when traveling or planning to ride ATVs or similar vehicles to avoid starting a wildfire.
