The Perry City Police Department is reaching out to the public to help an officer find a new kidney.

On Facebook, the department says Officer Jason Harris was diagnosed in August with an autoimmune disease that has caused his kidneys to fail.

Officer Harris is still working for the department, and performing his duties despite going through dialysis several times a week.

Anyone who is willing to help the officer can contact the University of Utah to find out how they can donate.
