Officials in Heber City are recognizing three people for the quick action to stop a man who was trying to load a gun with ammunition inside a Sportsman's Warehouse store.

The three Good Samaritans saw suspect Jose Sosa trying to load the handgun last month and kept him from running away until police arrived at the store.

Two of the three were honored with the city's citizenship award and the police department's "Busted" award at a city council meeting yesterday.

Sosa remains in the Wasatch County jail without bond following his arrest.
