KDXU listener wins fantastic cruise package w/photo gallery

NewsRadio 94.9/890 KDXU listener Renda Hunter and her husband Roland aren't sure just yet where they'll take their cruise, but they sure are thrilled to have it.

"I'm so excited – I can't believe we won," Renda said Saturday after having her entry drawn for the KDXU Cash and Cruise giveaway. "I thought the chances of winning weren't all that great ... but this is just the best DAY!"

Hunter said she and her husband had tried to win during these events in the past, and seeing the crowd of 150 or so at Morris Murdock Travel Saturday had her thinking the prize would probably go to someone else. But this time, it was her name (and cabin No. 115) that was called when the grand prize was awarded.

Hunter, who works at the Washington County Administration building, said she hasn't decided where they'll go on their cruise, but the Panama Canal was leading the pack as a possible location.

Hunter won a $1,500 cruise voucher, $500 in spending money and a $200 gas card. Other prizes were awarded to KDXU listeners as well, including a night's stay at the Eureka in Mesquite, plus two buffets and two 60-minute massages, tickets to Lagoon Amusement Park, and gift cards to Fiesta Fun.

KDXU listeners were also treated to free pizza, drinks and candy at the event.
