Iron County Scam

Today (12-06-18) several residences within Iron County received a phone call from an individual claiming to be a Sergeant, Lieutenant or other law enforcement official from the Iron County Sheriff’s Office. The caller was calling from our phone number of 435-867-7500 (this is called spoofing a phone number). The caller advised the victim they had a jury duty summons which they failed to appear and a warrant from the Iron County Justice Court in Iron County. If they did not send money they would come to their residence and arrest them. This is a SCAM. Please do not fall for their pressure to put you into fear of arrest if you do not pay. Law Enforcement will not call to advise you have a warrant. This is a sign of a scam. Be safe out there.
