Governor Herbert is reducing the COVID-19 risk level for Summit and Wasatch counties from orange to yellow.

The governor issued an executive order yesterday immediately reducing the risk level in both counties until May 29th.

The order will allow the counties to open up more businesses under the more relaxed guidelines of the state's yellow or low-risk phase.

Salt Lake City, West Valley City and Magna still remain in the orange stage of those guidelines due to the higher number of COVID-19 cases those communities have reported.
