Governor Gary Herbert wants all options to be discussed when it comes to school safety following the latest mass shootings in the U.S. 

During his monthly press conference with local media outlets, the governor didn't give specifics about what options he personally supports, but said he wanted to see action from the Legislature. 

Lawmakers have hinted they would introduce bills next year that impose universal background checks for gun sales, and that would create a "red-flag law," allowing someone's guns to be confiscated under a court order.
