Federal Grant Awarded to St.George Fire For More Firefighters

A federal grant of nearly a million dollars will help the city of Saint George hire nine more firefighters. The grant announced last week from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be matched with about 600-thousand dollars in city money. Fire officials expect to have the new hires on board in less than half a year.
