DOT Chipping In $15 Million For St. George To Springdale Transit

The state is chipping in 15-million dollars to look at a possible transit route from Saint George to Springdale.  The money from the state Department of Transportation was approved earlier this month and will also be used towards implementing any service.  Local governments would chip in a little more than half a million dollars a year for the service but the state funds are enough to cover the first five years.  No word on when it could start.
