Utah Democratic Congressman Ben McAdams is donating his blood plasma in hopes of helping people who have become sick due to COVID-19.

The congressman donated plasma at ARUP Blood Services in Sandy yesterday.

McAdams contracted COVID-19 and was hospitalized in March.

Doctors say McAdams' plasma will be given to patients with the virus in hopes that the antibodies will help them recover more quickly.
