There will be a lot of visitors in the Southern Utah area for Presidents Day Weekend and that includes Zion National Park.

The Park is expecting big numbers of people to visit the park for Presidents' Day weekend. In 2018 the park had more than 25,000 visitors, an 18 percent increase over the same weekend in 2017.

Park management says that even if visitor numbers aren't that high this year the park may still feel crowded because of trail closures.

Upper Emerald Pools and Kayenta Trail are closed due to damage from summer monsoon rains. Recent rock falls on the Lower East Rim Trail have closed access to both Hidden Canyon and Observation Point trails as well.
