13 year old boy killed at Sand Hollow in UTV accident

A child was killed in a U-T-V rollover accident on Sand Mountain.

Emergency medics got a call Wednesday about the accident near Sand Hollow State Park.

A family from Colorado was riding with their children in the U-T-V as they attempted a jump over the dunes, and rolled over.

Crews from several agencies responded and found the youngest child, a 13-year-old boy, deceased after suffering head injuries.

He had his seat belt on, but no helmet.

The accident is being investigated.
